What equipment do you have on-site? This determines which water sources are available for each stage.
Zone 1 — Pre-Treatment
The car enters the tunnel and is immediately hit with high-pressure water to cool the surface, loosen road film and brake dust, and flush the undercarriage — all before any chemistry or friction contact.
Zone 2 — Chemical Application & Friction Wash
The core cleaning zone. Soaps and chemicals are applied, then friction media (cloth mitters, wrap-around scrubbers, brushes) physically removes dirt and road film from every surface.
Zone 3 — Post-Friction HP Rinse & Protection
After friction media, a high-pressure rinse arch flushes away loosened dirt and chemistry. Then wax, sealants, and ceramic protectants are applied to a clean surface.
Zone 4 — Final Rinse Train & Spot-Free
The last wash zone before dryers. Water quality matters most here — this determines the final finish. A high-volume fresh flood rinse clears all chemistry; the spot-free RO rinse is the last water to touch the car.
